I decided to take this tablescape party out of my usual spot in the dining room and do something a bit more casual – a simple Christmas brunch in our eat-in kitchen. I’m still not 100% done with our DIY built-in banquette (I want to add fabric and nailheads to the top part of the base) but it’s done enough that we’ve been putting this baby to use!

Our Christmas brunch menu was super simple – mixed berries, muffins, and pancakes. Of course we doused the pancakes with whipped cream (that classy whipped cream can didn’t make the cut for my table – ha!) and also added a little sweet holiday treat of finely crushed candy canes for the kiddos to sprinkle on top!

My table was a find at the Restoration Hardware Outlet (I sourced lots of options for similar pedestal tables {here}) and the two slipcovered chairs are thrifted finds from years ago.
